Ada is located in Ada Township, approximately 6 miles east of downtown Grand Rapids in central Kent County.
This picturesque village with its small town charm is located at the mouth of the Thornapple River flowing into the Grand River. It contains a downtown area and adjacent mall, accented by colonial style building and small boutique shops and wonderful restaurants. There is a covered bridge for foot traffic only over the Thornapple River adjacent to a small park and baseball diamond a short walk from downtown.
Ada is considered to be an ideal commuter suburb to the Greater Grand Rapids area and it is also located a short distance from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
Today, Ada is a thriving suburban community of the greater Grand Rapids area. It's top-ranking school system Forest Hills Schools, wooded rolling hills, and small town feel make it a very popular place to live. If you enjoy countryside living but want to be close to the cultural activities of a growing city, Ada is a wonderful place to live.
